The intervention of seismic insulation of the headquarter of Autostrade per l’Italia S.p.A.,
the so-called “Palazzo Fagnoni” is the result of an experimental project carried out by a master professor, due to the complexity and the difficulty of activities to be performed.

The project consist of the insertion of a resistant temporary structure, the cut of the pillars that constitute the Pilotis plan of the building and the insertion at the base of the pillars of seismic insulators that shall avoid the transmission of shearing stress to the building in case of earthquake. The different stages are even more important from a Safety point of view, because the ordinary activities of the building haven’t been stopped during the intervention.
